Holy cow, the 3,000th comment already!?

I can’t believe I’m already writing about this but the 3,000 comment came and went today on this here blog. Amazing. How long ago was it that I wrote about about numbers 1,000 and 2,000? Just who was that lucky commenter? That would be Tish! After going on a commenting spree while sifting through my archives (does that sound naughty?), Tish easily vaulted herself into the role of lucky commenter number 3,000. If you’ve been living under a rock and have no idea who this Tish person is I speak of, don’t worry, I’m here to educate you!

Ain’t she pretty?A chance encounter or fate?
I thought it would be neat to chronicle just how and when I met the lovely Tish. Lend me your ears…er eyes, shall you?

It all began just four short months ago. I had just recently created a shiny new account on BlogCatalog and was hopping around from one blog to another when I landed on a particularly pretty avatar, which belonged to a blog known as The Kat House. I followed the link and soon found myself poking through the archives until I came upon a post entitled “Have you seen this man?”. I giggled. I couldn’t help it. I felt bad that there was some random guy littering this poor girl’s yard, but I couldn’t help but laugh because of how she chose to write her post. I was hooked. What a great sense of humor. I hopped back over to BlogCatalog and left a little message informing this humorous lady that I enjoyed her blog. Long story short, she soon found her way to my blog, left a comment and the rest of history. Whoever the guy was leaving trash on Tish’s lawn, if you’re reading this right now I’d just like to say thank you.

So what happened next?
Fast forward a few months and you’ll find that Tish and I have become pretty close. We spend more hours chatting each week than should even be humanly possible, we co-founded a blog together and even spent 24 hours there one very long night in July, blogging for charity. Oh and I also recently spent a week putting together a nifty little portrait of Tish in Illustrator. People seemed to like it and she adores it. That makes me happy.

Now if you’ll excuse me I’m off to chat a little more with Tish.
