@Linda: I read a blurb about that but it was unclear to me whether it treats tags the same way as custom fields. I’m guessing not because a custom field can really be just about anything you want it to be.

I'm not sure if I understand the question right, but Wordpress already has tag clouds built in as part of their new tagging setup. If that's what you need, then it should just be a case of looking it up on Wordpress.org and figuring out what tags to put where. Linda R.
