Blogathon 2007 – Can you blog for 24 hours?

My wonderful friend Tish wrote about the Blogathon over on her blog, but for those of you that don’t know her I thought I’d lend her a hand and write about her cause here as well. The Blogathon is an event held annually for bloggers to rally together and raise money for their favorite charities, blogging for 24 straight hours. According to Tish you can even split up that 24 hours with other bloggers which probably wouldn’t be a bad idea unless you think you can last the entire 24 hours :) I’m not even sure what I would blog about. You have to make a new post every half hour which would mean FORTY EIGHT posts in a 24 hour span. Whew, that’s a lot of posts. I suppose I could write a new haiku every half hour :P

Anyone interested in doing the Blogathon?

    Hmm. Sure! If you don’t mind blogging for the Glaucoma Foundation, let’s partner! We can do 12 hours each! And I’ll even stay awake and keep you company during your 12 hour shift! ;)

    I did my first Blogathon last year and it was an awesome experience. I’ve already committed to doing it again, though I haven’t finalized my charity yet. You’re going to love it! We become quite the awesome little community.

    I wanted to do the Blogathon last year, but I found out about it too late. I am definately gonna do it this year though.

    Cool! Are you going to split time with someone else or just do the entire 24 hours on your own?

    Fortunately I’ll have Tish staying up with me so she can push the little Buzz button on Yahoo messenger when I fall asleep ;P
