A Bloglines experiment – Increase your RSS feed readers.
Jun 25, 2007 Blogging
Just recently I’ve begun reading MsDanielle’s blog on a regular basis. She’s a cool gal and always has a nice mix of both informative and entertaining posts. I learned of this new blogging train on her site and I’ve decided to give it a shot. It’s purpose is to help increase your RSS readership, which is certainly something most of us would love more of. I know I would. Just look at that embarrassing little number over there on the right. Before you get started you’ll need a free Bloglines account. If you already have one you’re all set. Now just follow the rules which I’ve snagged from Danielle’s site.
UPDATE: RSS feed list has been removed.

Woohoo! I am in your list too!
I added the sites from your “new list” in my Bloglines account as well. Let’s see how this works.
BTW I wish I had 59 readers… I think I have 1 and it is me! :) Well not anymore I guess.

Hahaha…I actually added ya to my feed list a couple days ago :D
I peaked at 67 readers early this past week and did a little happy dance in my chair. Of course that number didn’t last long :P

I have a reader! I am such a loser. I still get so excited when someone new comments or when someone new starts visiting my blog – each time something new happens I do my own little happy dance. 67 readers: I think I would have to throw a “I have 67 feed readers party” and invite all of my friends.

Hehe…I’m the same way and I think I’ve had this blog up for just about a year now, though I’ve only really been taking it seriously for the past 5 months or so :)

What’s great about Bloglines is that Text Link Ads gives it a lot of weight. I’ll be adding everyone here.
Thanks for sneaking me in the list haha.

Text Link Ads hates me :(
Ahh well I’ll still happily welcome any new readers I happen to get from this :)

You know what I think is the problem with RSS trains… while your number of readers does increase.. they don’t necessarily read your feeds. To me, I wouldn’t care if I had 2 subscribers as long as they want to read my feeds. The good thing about it is the linkbacks you’ll get :D
June 25th, 2007 at 11:44 pm
Oh I figure most won’t bother to actually read the feed but I’d like to just once be able to see my feed number break 70 :P
June 26th, 2007 at 12:27 am
First 70, then the world! Haha
Ahh yes the linkbacks .. I’m working on getting as much as I can before the July update of pageranks by Google.

Well I have actually noticed an increase in traffic after being added to this list, which may just be a coincidence, but likely not. This is what I am especially excited about!

@Danielle: If you want to see a real increase in traffic you should hop over to the forum I blogged about on my comic site and join the little stumble project on there. It works. In 4 days I had over 2,500 unique visitors to the Gummy site. A ginormous increase to say the least ;P
@Baron: Why the heck haven’t we linked up yet?
June 26th, 2007 at 4:45 am
Hmm you’re right. I have you on my blogroll now haha.
June 26th, 2007 at 10:54 am
Haha. Technically we’d already linked up via link love anyway :P
Well so far the RSS experiment is going splendidly. I dropped 4 readers…lol.
June 26th, 2007 at 1:29 pm
Another fluctuation .. I dropped a couple too. I hope when it comes back up I get a 30+ reader increase. Me greedy?
June 26th, 2007 at 1:42 pm
That doesn’t seem greedy at all ;P
June 27th, 2007 at 4:14 am
I did it!! I broke 70 readers….well, on the comic site :D *does a ridiculous happy dance*
