Blogshares – Buy and sell shares of blog stock.
Last night I started playing around with Blogshares which is a rather cool site that lets you buy and sell shares of stock in blogs. The whole thing is basically set up to mimic the way a real stock market works. You begin with $500 to start purchasing stock in your favorite blogs. I wanted to buy shares of Christy’s blog, but she’s just too darn expensive for me so I settled for buying 1250 shares of my own blog. Twenty cents a share! Any takers? :D Actually it went up to twenty nine cents after I purchased stock but still, that’s a steal people! ;)
Has anyone else tried Blogshares?
That’s pretty interesting. I’ll have to check that out. I guess I can write my posts later .. much later.

What the heck, rofl. I’ve never heard of that place!! Geez, can people really sell their blogs Mike, seriously? Because for ten thousand I’m outta here! OMG! I have to look at that again later, that’s really cool. Stocks for blogs, what will they think of next?? Is it a game, or is it real money that you paid?
Oh Darn it’s all a fantasy! Imagine buying blog stocks for your family at Christmas, lol. Somebody make it real!!!!

Hehe yep it’s all just for fun but it’s still really neat :D That’s pretty funny that you’ve never heard of it and your blog is in there. Someone else that wanted stock in your blog must have added you :)
LOL, Yeah I think a girl named Michelle bought 80% of my shares, so I guess she put me in there. I know about five Michelle’s….hmmm…nobody ever told me, lol.
You should give it a try! You can buy shares of me right now for quite a bargain :D

Part of my game strategy is to target blogs with lots of potential incoming links. But more on that later.

Since you posted about it the other night …. I asked. Apparently, Sam had signed up for an account at blogitude a while back, but I didn’t know about it. He handed off the account at B$29,600 ot do, and now it’s up to B$3,806,408,656.88. Sweet. ;-)
Of course, now it’s time to read the documentation and see what I could do differently… heh
As for blogpoker … I might have an idea for that … hmmm …
Someone did a hostile takeover on one of the blogs I added to the system and took all of my stock. That was irritating :|

Speaking of blog poker check out the T-Shirt design I posted today in the funny picture post….it’s a “no friends in Poker” T-Shirt, it’s hilarious! I suppose there’s no friends in blogshares either, lol.
There really are no friends in Poker..hehe…and you’re right it appears there’s no friends in Blogshares either. That really ticked me off since I personally added the blog to the system. Ahh well :|
