Ack! Couldn’t comment lately?

Thanks to Malin for giving me the heads up that something funky was going on with the comments on this site. Even though the threaded comments plugin WAS activated it was apparently displaying an error that it wasn’t whenever she’d try to leave a comment. Weird, man. Sooo, for now I’ve disabled the plugin and am going to do a little tinkering on my local WordPress installation and see if I can figure out what’s going on. If all else fails I just won’t bother to use it anymore. I don’t need the headache.

The plugin worked perfectly on the older version of the Mistylook theme so I really never thought to check if it was working correctly with the updated version. My bad :(

At any rate if you’ve tried to make any comments the last couple days I apologize for the error. Ugh.

    See now I had to comment just to see if the comments are working! The only thing I don’t like about wordpress is that you have to actually answer a math question to leave a comment. Geez…

    Well the math thing isn’t actually part of the default installation of WordPress. You can have comments without it, but it’s a nice way to help reduce some of the spam from all the annoying porn bots and such that crawl around the web ;P

    When I first started this blog last year I used to get a ridiculous amount of spam that I’d have to moderate and delete all day, until I installed the simple math plug-in. So now I’m good til the robots learn how to do math :D

    Haha…no worries, math is a weak subject with me. If I made it too difficult I wouldn’t even be able to comment on my own blog ;P
