Best Buys - Reasearch and compare the fine print

Sorted in Reviews
If you’re an avid shopper and especially like to do a lot of purchasing online, I have a site that might be of interest to you. Best Buys has recently launched a new feature which they call their Best Buys Comparison Reviews. What I like about these reviews is that they take well known services and pit them against each other, so to speak. For example one comparison review compares Netflix and Blockbuster online movie rentals. Not only does Best Buys outline the advantages of each service but they also dig into the fine print and fill you in on the things that perhaps each service doesn’t necessarily want you to know. I actually just signed up for Netflix recently and fortunately according to their reviews of the fine print, I think I made the right choice.
One comparison I noticed they also make is between Vonage and Sunrocket’s VOIP phone services. The last I heard Sunrocket is on their way out and in the middle of bankruptcy, so that’s probably not the best comparison to make. Vonage versus Verizon Voicewing would be nice though. I’ve used both services and there are certainly some glaring differences between the two which could be highlighted and compared. Their prices may be similar but their quality of service certainly is not.
Best Buys includes a suggestion box on each page of their website which allows you to provide feedback and help them to improve their service. I think this would also be a great way to suggest other services you’d like to see them compare. With so many companies out there competing for your business, it’s without a doubt very helpful to find as many reviews comparing them as possible in order to help you make an informed decision.
Overall the website is very simple to navigate and even features some pretty handy rollover text and images on the right hand side of the interface which is very helpful in explaining what content you’ll find before clicking. One thing to note however is that if you’re one of the many people using the Firefox browser with the adblock extension you may need to turn it off, depending on how your filters are set. When I first loaded the Best Buys site I was greeted by a large section in the middle with missing content. Once I disabled adblock and reloaded, the content returned.
Best Buys has been online since 1994 and is not affiliated in any way with the Best Buy retail stores or BestBuy.com.

Wow. I leave you alone for a few hours, and I come back to all sorts of blogging! Kudos to you, Mike!
Best Buys sounds like a cool site. I will definitely check it out. I love my Netflix and am certain I made the right choice too. I have a couple of friends who tried Blockbuster’s service after being a Netflix customer, and they were disappointed.
Chat with you soon!
I’ve never really been a big fan of Blockbuster in general so I didn’t really give their service a whole lot of thought anyway..hehe
