And the winner of the Entrecard credit contest is…
Well before I get to the winner let’s talk numbers. Specifically how many people entered the contest times the number total of entries. In all, well over 100 people entered the contest. Because I allowed for rss subscriptions, daily card drops and blogging about the contest to count towards entries, there ended up being a grand total of 428 entries! Many people were quite diligent and dropped their cards often, while others only dropped once or twice. A few blogged about it and a few also subscribed to the feed. To say it became overwhelming to keep up with all the entries would be an understatement, but I’d do it all again =)
Now then, I originally had planned to film the winning entry being chosen from a hat, but once I did the final count this morning, I decided it would be absolutely insane to sit here and cut up 428 little pieces of paper. On top of that I’d have to write a number on each one. That would likely turn into an all day event. Sooo, in the interest of moving things along quicker than that, I opted for drawing the winner using Random.org. Every person who entered the contest was assigned a sequence of numbers dependent on how many total entries they had in the contest. I gave Random.org the task of choosing one number between 1 and 428. Number 188 was chosen.
So who had number 188 assigned to their name? Drum roll please (cue Mark).
