Fav.or.it is accepting blog submissions for feed aggregation
Anyone else heard of Fav.or.it yet? Fav.or.it is a service that promises to bring together feed reading, commenting, and a community atmosphere all in one place in a simple to use format. So in other words you’ll be able to read your favorite blogs, comment on them and interact with others in the community all from one location.
While the site is not officially live yet, they are accepting blog submissions to be amongst the first aggregated by their service during their beta launch. They are initially accepting 10,000 blogs, so if you’d like to have yours included it’s probably a good idea to act quickly. In order to be fair they are accepting blogs based on their Technorati ranking across ten levels, 1,000 blogs per level. For example level one is blogs ranked 1-1000, level two would be 1000-5000 and so on. That would put this blog at level 2. In all they’re accepting blogs with Technorati ranks no lower than 1 million.
This sounds like a promising idea. It’s a good opportunity for bloggers to possibly receive more comments than they normally do, since readers who access their content via RSS won’t have to click away from their feed reader in order to leave comments on posts. I don’t use a feed reader all that often myself but I know I’ve felt less compelled to leave comments when accessing a blog’s feed via Google Reader for example as opposed to visiting the blog via a live bookmark.
Has anyone else submitted their blogs yet? I submitted mine last night. Of course there’s no guarantee that I’ll be included but it’s worth a shot.

Haha…I have no control over it. It’s that schmooze award! I think I’m getting about 20-30 backlinks per day from that thing. At that rate I’m going to hit 1,000 by the end of the month ;P
