Five (un)Realistic Goals

Mark of MeAndMyDrum tagged me who was tagged by Jennifer for this little exercise. The point is to write about any five goals which I have. They can be serious, silly, professional or whatever. If you know me (and you probably do since you’re reading this) you know I’m a bit of a wacky person so I’m choosing five silly-ish goals to write about.

  • Try to go a whole week without milk.
I love milk terribly, but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t help any with my ever expanding waist line. I know I could just drink skim milk, but it’s not the same. I may as well just be drinking white water. In fact water is what I should be drinking more of. So let’s make that part B of this goal. Less milk, more water. Check.
  • Spend at least one day a week away from the computer.
Yeh, right. Easier said than done. Imagine all the things I could do though if I were able to pry myself away from this evil soul sucking machine for just one whole day. I could go for a walk, watch a couple movies or even just drink more water.
  • Get on the Bowflex more often. Not just sit on it, use it.
Since I’ll be drinking less milk I might as well continue with the health kick and start using that gigantic, overpriced clothes hanger sitting in the middle of my floor a little more. I should also figure out how to do more than 4 exercises with it. Are we noticing a theme here?
  • Get a kitten and name it Gee.
It’s been a while since I’ve had a kitten. I miss the fluffy companionship. I miss how they like to lay right on top of your keyboard looking all cute and innocent while you’re trying to type. Should I ever get a kitten again I want to name it Gee, that way when it wanders into a room I can say “Sup, Gee?” I know, retarded.
  • Create my own WordPress theme.
This certainly wouldn’t help me in achieving goal number two, but eventually I want to create my own theme for WordPress. All the cool kids are doing it.

Now the fun part where I get to tag others to make their own list of goals. I shall tag Beenee, Christy and Tish (because she loves these things).

Great goals, Mike! I laughed out loud at this list! And thanks so much for tagging me! Can’t wait to fill this one out! :)

    Youuuu’re welcome :)

Nice list, Mike. I’ve heard that same thing about the Bowflex from others. And I also used to like whole milk, but finally made the transition to skim a few years ago. Now I cringe when I drink the heavy stuff.

Thanks for tagging others. I need to expand my network so will be visiting them soon. :)

Fair warning to you. Don’t visit Beenee’s site unless you’ve already eaten today ;)

Haha… I’ll store the list and get to it after my finals are over, I promise! Been trying to keep away from the computer but obviously that’s not been going well. Need… more… self… control…

Hehe…take your time =) Good luck with your finals!

Doh! Too late. Those vanilla cookies gave me a hankering for the chocolate chip ones I have in the pantry…and the milk. ;)

Did you see the cheesecake yet? :-o

Wow this list is very similar to mine. I got to 1% milk, but could never make it all the way to skim. Good luck with your list, I’d start with the cat.

Yeh I was thinking the cat was probably the most realistic of all these goals as well :P
