Friday Funnies – Volume One

I’ve decided to try something new here each Friday. Most people that read this blog should know by now that I am a web comic artist, which of course means I enjoy a good giggle. Each week my plan will be to find a few funny and creative web comics in order to present them here. There are so many talented comic artists around the web, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find something new each week. Perhaps I’ll convert some of you into avid web comic readers as well :)

Without a further ado I present to you the all new Friday Funnies – Volume One!

  • The Boids! – The Boids follows the story of Flock Unit 2A-6, an experimental robot bird who is separated from his robotic flock and attempts to join a flock of real birds. Get it? Droid + bird = boid. Nice ;) This comic is suitable for viewers of all ages.
  • Being Five – Being five is the story of a little boy named Georgie who blogs using voice recognition software. Pretty advanced stuff for a five year old :) I love the artwork. They keep it simple which is something I’m a fan of. This comic is also suitable for viewers of all ages.
  • The Putrid Pal – Told more like a story than a comic strip, The Putrid Pal is a comic for all ages featuring an undead French boy, his pals and their adventures in a forgotten seaside resort. Very memorable and unique artwork.

I shall return next week with a few more comic finds!

And in his usual, very caring way, he tells why Jean is the best. Bobby is truly a great guy, and there are few people in this world who are as sincere and appreciative as he is. So drop by his blog and say hello. You’ll be glad you did. [IMG ] Mike Wheeler of Ordinary Folk just just started something new on his blog. He’s combining link love with a little Friday humor. It’s a great way to introduce people to the many different comic artists on the web and tickle your funny bone at the same time! Sounds like a winner to

At first I thought your were serious at first about the five year old who blogged with voice recognition software… I am so gullible. Funny stuff. See you next Friday!

No-that’s not a five year old talking. I read the comic strips. That’s not a kid.

He’s five?? Wow. It’s just that… some of the things are pretty advanced, like you said…

  6. Mike Says:

According the artist he’s five, yes ;P What about the baby from Family Guy? He doesn’t talk like a kid either. That’s what make him funny ;P

Nothing like a good giggle. Whether he’s five or not, I can dig it.

Am I blind, or have there been no Friday Funny posts since its debut?

  9. Mike Says:
