Feedburner weirdness

I’ve had no choice but to disable the Feedburner plugin on this blog which routes the site’s RSS feed to Feedburner. They’re having issues which seem to be affecting random blogs. When you attempt to subscribe to a site’s feed you encounter a timeout error, which is what is happening with my Feedburner feed. Oddly it’s only happening with this site and not with either of my other sites which are hosted on the same server. Once I disable the feedburner plugin I get no timeouts whatsoever when attempting to subscribe to the feed. Sooo, hopefully Feedburner will get things fixed soon. In the meantime it’s a just a bit annoying as I’ll be unable to keep track of feed stats. Is anyone experiencing this weirdness today? I checked Feedburner’s forums and I discovered several other people encountering the same problem as me.

UPDATE: Annnd it appears as though Feedburner may have fixed their glitch. I hope!

HM Weird stuff. How’d you find out your subscriptions were acting weird?

Hey Bush, I have a live bookmark in Firefox of my feeds so I can always keep an eye on them. I noticed that Firefox was unable to display the feed for this site and after failing at trying to correct it, I knew something had to be screwy. That’s when I headed over to the Feedburner forums to find others having the same problem.

Feedburner claimed their was a glitch effecting feeds of sites hosted on European servers, yet my webhost is located in Texas. At any rate they finally fixed it around 1:30 in the morning :)

I’m a technorati addict but I only check my subscriptions once a week, lol. Can you believe it? Holy freakin’ technorati rank Mike, that’s awesome!!!!! :)

I think it’s the schmooze awards that are fueling the Technorati rank, Christy. I didn’t even think of the effect that would have when Danielle and I were creating them :-o

Maybe Feedburner thought Texas was in Europe hehe

It’s a pretty big freakin state. I suppose some might confuse it with being a continent :P

Feedburner has problems from time to time, but it is the best service out there so just hang in there if they are glitchy at times because most probably they will already be working on a fix.
