Perhaps the data centers are finally moving?

I’m no Google page rank expert so I can only report on what I see occurring on blogs I have association with, but it looks like perhaps Google is finally performing an update. After appearing as though thingsbymike.com had been penalized the other day dropping from a PR2 to a PR1 it now currently sits at PR4. On top of that BlogsWeLuv and the Gummy site are now both showing PR4. Both sites were PR0 previously. Not all datacenters reflect the higher PR, so we’ll see what things look like in a day or two.

Anyone else seeing an increase now?

UPDATE: Now as of the last time I checked, this site is showing PR2 on the Google toolbar but still PR4 on the firefox toolbar. Make up your mind, Google! ;)

I’m seeing huge increases on three of my blogs which were zero and now at three and four. Which actually scares me because I think at this point everyone’s rank is going up and down randomly or something.

I would love to keep these page ranks but I’m not sure they’ll let me, lol.

I just want Google to make up their mind before I have a nervous breakdown. They need to make a decision so we can all stop worrying (at least until the next update)

I’m not really all that worried about it. At this point I’m amused. It’s funny when I can visit my site and see a PR4 and then 10 minutes later a PR2…then a 4 again and so on :P

I’m sure once all the data centers catch up with the latest rankings, things will level out and you won’t see so much fluctuation. In the mean time I think ya just have to be patient :)

    I’m seeing a PR of 4 for you…congratulations, buddy! :) I also moved up to a 4, so I’m pretty happy about that. :)

    Shine on,
    Aaron

Haha..really? I’m seeing a PR2 again. I dunno what to believe…lol. Congrats on your upgrade

They might get rid of the Google PR measurement soon… they are probably just toying with us before they announce it’s going out. ;)

I have noticed some very interesting changes in some old domains that I have that really don’t have many links to them at all. Not really understanding as generally expired domains, once repurchased, lose their PR at the next update. I did lose the PR, but now, after this update, I have gotten it back… ?

I think you’ll stay a 4. I think big G wants to shake things up! Brown Baron should be a 6 but is 3. Who knows. As long as I’m not a 0 I’ll dislike Google 27% less for today!LOL!!!

I’m a 4 now. Court is a 4. I get 15000 pageviews he gets 40,000 per month. So there is definetly going to be some turmoil.

I just see a pr 2 for your site, might be that the datacenter my toolbar is accessing hasn’t updated yet.

Yep, I wrote that in the update at the bottom of the post.

I am seeing new page ranks for my blogs too. And they look stable. “NoDirectOn (not: NoDirection)” stays at GPR 4, but two of my newer blogs moved up from GPR “N/A” (they were started after the previous GPR update) to 4 (my dutch language Marketing•Review – that will now finally make it into the Dutch MarCom Top100:) -jay!) and 3 (my poetry blog OgenDicht/EyesClosed). This increase from 0 – N/A seem to indicated a serious and reliable update by Google. The results match with what iWebtools GPR Predictor indicated earlier.

I’m seeing a PR2 for you now, but obviously things are in a state of flux. Mine’s at PR4 today, but we’ll see how long that sticks. :) (fingers crossed)

I see 4 for you too Mike. Congrats! After hanging out at 3 for eons I finally reached a PR4 on my blog. Not that it means a dang-ding thing. LOL

I had been doing PR predictors for Bob’s blog and mine and he was slated to go 6 and I was supposed to go 5 which of course had me so excited but we seem to be sitting at 4 (for me) and a happy 5 for him today.

P.S. You are killing things in my NFL leuage and it seems you have given up on the ESPN league? (I’ve lost the last 4 games in a row so I feel your pain LOL). I have written you about a trade offer. I’m still just having fun with it. Hope you are well buddy. Miss you!

It’s funny that some people are seeing the PR2 like I am now and others see the PR4 that was there briefly…Hmmm.

Hey Polli, when you say you see a PR4, where are you seeing it?

About 50 of the 72 data centers right now show a PR4 for this blog including google.com, so I know what the heck is going on.

Hehe this update is one crazy event. Mine hasn’t changed. As long as it didn’t go down it’s fine lol. If Yahoo ever comes up with a reasonable ranking system, Google’s in trouble.

Yeah Mike, I think I told you over XBL but all my sites are seeing PRs of 3 right now which (I think) is weird because Bush Mackel.com is the only one I’m really working on/have links to. But hey, what do I know about PR? Ha ha

Congrats to Gummy for getting a PR4! Keep up the great work Mike! :)

Mike, I see the PR4 for you on my search status bar on the bottom of my firefox browser. Hope that helps!
