Rob Zombie’s Halloween
You’ve probably heard by now that Rob Zombie (yes the guy from White Zombie) has created a remake of the classic horror film Halloween. It’s hard to believe it was nearly 30 years ago that John Carpenter crafted his original masterpiece, still one of the best horror flicks I’ve seen. Can Rob Zombie do justice and pay proper homage to such a remarkable film? I think it’s quite possible. Rob Zombie has a unique and rather twisted style when it comes to horror. If you’ve seen House of 1000 Corpses or The Devils Rejects, you know what I’m talking about.
I’m not usually a very big fan of remakes (especially of classics), but I’m honestly looking forward to this one. I’ve been reading about the progress of the film on IMDB for quite some time now. Finally it will be released August 31, 2007. My question is, why not wait til Halloween? Ahh well. I still want to see it :)
A brief synopsis
After 15 years of being holed up in Smith’s Grove Sanitarium after the murder of is parents, Michael Myers is mistakingly released. Immediately he makes his return to Haddenfield, his home town in search of his little sister, Laurie. Can Sam Loomis, the doctor who cared for Michael get to young Laurie before it’s too late?

It looks good, my husband will want to see this one, he loves horror movies. I love them too only I get so freaked out I can’t sleep for days….lol.
I haven’t been that creeped out by a horror flick in a long time. The last one to totally creep me out was Creepshow when I was a kid. I keep hoping something will come along again to scare the bejeesus out of me ;P
So you don’t scary easily? LoL. I can’t remember Creepshow, I recognize the name though.
You know what really freaked me out, was The Ring, I like to call her the “well girl”, she absolutely horrified me. I can’t watch any movie with anything Satanic in it, like the exorcist, I go completely mental, lol. I’m getting creeped out just talking about it…ahhh!
Wow, I love White Zombie, the rock band and I miss them so much, sooo much you don`t know how much. I also have the movie called “White Zombie” with Bella Lugosi, great movie! :)
