Happy Halloween!
In the spirit of Halloween and since Christy tagged me with her Freaky Friday thingy ages ago, I thought I’d tell a little story. I know today isn’t Friday but it’s not my fault Halloween lands on a Wednesday this year. We’ll just have to pretend it’s Friday. Anywho, this is a true story.
Eons ago when I was just a wee lad I used to hang out often with a group of friends doing one thing or another. One night we all gathered for an evening of video games, movies and an unhealthy amount of junk food. I think there was probably about six of us and we were having a blast. Around midnight or so the fun turned into spooky. We had all the lights off so the room we were in was lit up only by the glow of the television. It was pretty dark in there. Suddenly we all heard a noise right outside the window. This was during the summer, so the window was open. Startled, we all turned towards the window to witness what appeared to be glowing red eyes peering in at us. We couldn’t really see a figure or shape of any sort, just those eyes. Needless to say we all freaked out and made a quick exit from the room.
I’ve never seen anything like that since, however I was talking to a friend that lives here in town several weeks ago and he was talking about ghosts and such. He proceeded to tell a story about witnessing glowing red eyes watching him from his window as well. I’d never told him my story so it was pretty spooky that he had such a similar one as mine.
Apparently my friends and I aren’t all alone in seeing the glowing red eyes. Could it be something paranormal?

I actually had a miserable Halloween. I spent the last three days working long hours on that screenplay with my cousin and he had a really nasty head cold. Guess who now has a really nasty head cold…AGAIN? I feel like I’ve been sick for a month :|
In all honesty, I too have heard a story similar from someone while I was in high school. Weird. But then not so weird since you’re located almost in the middle of nowhere. I’d say it was Big Foot coming in from Virgil. :D
Me and the wife saw an episode of Goosebumps last night on NICK or something… It had a scarecrow coming to life trying to get into this kid’s house via the window. Not sayin’ it was the same thing, but…That’s all I’m sayin’…

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oh Mike, that is so creepy. The reason I am laughing so hard is it must be a 1972 kid thing. My little brother (born in 1972), is terrified of one thing only, red eyes in a window. If I ever saw red eyes in a window, I’d probably move and leave all my stuff behind.
