I can breathe!

Today I’m happy. I’ve regained the ability to breathe from one nostril. It may not seem like much but to me that’s progress. Of course my ultimate goal is two nostrils which incidentally is how many I have, in case you were wondering. Some of you may take breathing for granted but try going a day with a handful of cotton balls shoved up your nose. That’s pretty much how it feels for me on most days.

In other equally rivotting news I finally watched the film “The Last King of Scotland” and I thought it was fantastic. Forrest Whitaker plays the role of Idi Amin brilliantly. One minute you find the man amusing and likable and the next minute you’re disgusted by him. Whitaker definitely deserved the Oscar. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend it.

I’m glad you can breathe again, ROFL, I read the post wrong and thought you meant that because of your allergies you spent the day with cotton balls shoved up your nose! I had this gruesome image…..you don’t want to know, lol. Now, I can’t stop laughing!!

Hahaha…I wonder if they make Benadryl in liquid form? I could douse cotton balls in it and shove them up my nose I suppose. That would be pretty much fighting the allergies right at the source I guess :P Of course then I actually would have a handful of cotton balls shoved up my nose….hmmmm.

Mike, you might want to talk to your doctor about Nasonex. I’ve always had sinus and allergy problems, so much that I could barely breathe through my nose on most days. And I would get sinus infections all the time. They put me on Nasonex back in January, and I haven’t had any problems since.

Glad you can finally breathe through one nostril! :)

Breathing is such a useful thing, and having nostrils to breathe from is so helpful. Breathing through the mouth gets old fast, and dries the mouth out. :) I’m glad your breathing is coming back.. albeit slowly.

It is pretty useful, isn’t it ;) It’s a shame how much we have to depend on it though :P

Why don’t you try get an air purifier in your home?

Anyway, I have watched that movie too. I can’t believe the journalist lived to tell the world of his life with Idi Amin.

I think it’s a fabulous movie. No crazy side effects – just crazy King of Scotland as the main attraction.

Crazy King of Scotland indeed :) It was most definitely one of the best movies of the past year. I’d put it up there with Pan’s Labyrinth as one of my favorites I’ve seen recently.
