Join the iReply movement!
My buddies from MeAndMyDrum and Brown Thoughts and myself have put together a simple idea for a new movement in blogging. If you’re a blog author who believes that it’s important to be active within your own blog community which you’ve created and reply to as many comments as possible, our new iReply movement is for you. Display our little button and let your readers know that you appreciate what they have to say and won’t just ignore them.
Simply save our button up there on the left, upload it to your server and either link to this post or create a new post of your own talking about the movement and why you support it. Easy enough, right?
If you’d like a version of the button that will work on darker backgrounds you can use this one instead.
UPDATE: If you’re unsure how to add this badge to your blog, the simplest way is to either upload it to the server where your blog is hosted, or to your favorite image hosting site (like photobucket), then do something like this:
<img src=”http://yourURL.com/ireply_litebg.gif”>
That’s it! :)
A domain is a name given to a web site the way a filmmaker or a director or screenwriter gives a name to a movie. Some wireless internet providers provide domains with cheap web hosting. The web hosting services can range from $3-$30 per month. Most of these cheap web hosting companies can be found through your ISP’s. When thinking about hosting a site, illustrations about cameras or a canon hv 20 should be enlarged for better publicity. Agree to a high cpc to a website owner so that they continue to improve their site for attraction purposes.

You know, this is cool to see people continuing to join this thing. ;)
I know, it’s amazing isn’t it, buddy? :D
Welcome aboard to all the new people! ;D
looks like this is a wonderful idea… good job!
I have been doing the movement before I even saw this! Nice idea.
thank you for this. I’ll be joining the movement as well.
Welcome aboard to all the newest club members ;D
Count me in :-)
I hope you don’t mind, I made one to match my site.. you can have it too to add here if you’d like and if anyone would like a custom one I’d be happy to try :)

Oh, thats transparent and its on a dark background by the way :) you can see it on my site on the upper left sidebar.
Hi Jeannie! There’s certainly nothing at all wrong with creating your own :D
I think that this is an excellent idea. I too have joined the movement.
Just a thought. Why don’t you start an opt-in blogroll (using a service like, say, blogrolling) for members of i-reply?
OK, so it adds another administrative adventure to your daily chores, but it’s not that hard to do :)
It’s an excellent idea! I’m in :D
Oh and also, if you don’t have the time, I could organize it. Let me know :)
@Linda: That’s not a bad idea. However the one thing that bugs me about those blogroll thingies is that they list sooo many links at a time. I’m not a huge fan of displaying really long blogrolls in my sidebar =/
The other option would be putting the blogroll on a separate page I suppose. I wonder how much in the way of CSS styling you can do with them? If I remember right that blogrolling site allows you to use CSS but if you have more than one blogroll you’re using with them it effects every one instead of letting you style them separately =/
Mike: I’ve gotten round that by using an icon to link to page/s with blogrolls. I have exactly the same problem you do with the long, long lists. (They are also slow-loading.)
You can also get some devices/bits of code which displays them in a drop-down list.
Take a look at the bottom of ravensroads.com to see what I mean. (I actually dislike that big glob of “shiny” at the bottom, but nor am I quite ready to give up on my shinies yet.) ;-)
I haven’t bothered with styling or delved too deep into it; there may be other options than blogrolling, but I don’t know.
I’m in with great pleasure… there is nothing more annoying than a comment left without recognition… ;-)
LOL…I couldn’t agree more :)
Welcome aboard!
Excellent idea. I will support this campaign!!!
Excellent idea. Have seen this badge around the blogosphere.
Will support the campaign..thanks mike
Cheers
Have a nice day
okay, i’ve posted on my blog about it so that means i’ve joined the movement right? so what’s next? other than me replying back to commenters, i mean. what i really want is that “Notify me of followup comments via e-mail” thingie.
how do i get that??
TIA!
Ok I got the badge in the comments area of my blog and Bob’s but the link is not working ugh. I think I have it coded right, but it’s not ‘clicking’ Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Polli: Well there you are!! :) Did you get my emails from weeks ago? I can’t say for sure about the problem you’re experiencing with the link, but may I recommend that you remove the onlick/tracker stuff to see if at least it works in its basic form?
I hope you’re doing well.
I’m joining with an effort to improve in the reply department on my blog
Wow, 118 comments….will I really get a reply? I hope you didn’t get in over your head on this!
Seriously, this is such a great idea. So many times I comment on blogs and feel like it just goes into the black hole – and I don’t want my readers to feel like that!
Thanks for this idea ~ it will be on my next blog post!
Peace and blessings~
Suzanne
@Lecram: Welcome aboard! :)
@Suzanne: If you ask nicely you might just receive a reply ;) I hear ya about the black hole. Unfortunately there’s a lot of them out there :/
I definitely like the idea. I’ll be sporting one of the iReply buttons on my page here soon. Great idea. :D
Hi there! Glad you liked the idea. Thanks for helping support our little cause :)
This is a fab idea! I’m going to place this buttons on my site right now! Thanks for this!

I like this idea! I have always believed in being an active participant in my blog and the blogs of my readers. I’d like to make the same change as Danielle though. I hope you don’t mind if I make the red dot a green one.
Great idea! I’ll link my graphic back to this post!
You wouldn’t believe how many people don’t like the idea. Don’t get me started on that one though ;P
LOL ;)
I don’t understand why anyone would dislike this movement. It appears to be a great way to honor your fellow bloggers.
I think this is a great Idea. I have Always responded to all of my comments I love keeping in contact with my reader base.
Your button is on my blog now. I’m glad to be a part of the movement =)

I’ve added this to my blog as well… I think it’s a great way to help build the community! I’ve added a link back to this post at:

Keep up the great work!
Does the movement have a blog roll or a list complied so we can visit other fellow “i reply” participants? I can make one!!
What a great movement. It really bothers me when people fail to return comments. I’m so in!
