KMPlayer - My favorite new gadget

Lately I’d been getting annoyed by the media players I had installed - PowerDVD, Windows Media Player and Nero Showtime. None of them are completely horrible but they all just seem to have one thing or another about them that bugs me. Because of that I recently decided to go on a search for something new and hopefully better. I’m happy to say I’ve found an excellent alternative.

The KMPlayer is pretty much the coolest piece of free software I’ve found in quite a while. I no longer have any need for multiple media players. This thing plays pretty much any media format you throw at it, and it does it well.

Not only does this thing play everything you throw it at it, but it also features a ton of options. It includes everything from a built-in EQ (with presets) to a screen and video capture utility. On top of that it’s also skinnable, and there are quite a few skins available for download.

If, like me, you’ve been looking for a piece of software that can handle all of your video and audio playback needs, I highly recommend checking out KMPlayer. It rocks.

    Very cool. I will check this one out. I also recommend Media Player Classic for a full-featured but bare bones media player that works with almost anything.

    Nice to know that there are other players out there that are easier to use and nicer than some of what you can get with a computer these days.

    Hey Mike! I haven’t used this one before. I’ve been using the VLC player for 10 years - it’s plain with no frills but it works. I had major problems with NERO and Windows media player playing all my illegal bootleg movies…hahaha :mrgreen: I’ll check this one out.

    @Liz: I’ve used MP Classic in the past. I always seemed to have trouble with it though :/

    @Mark: Hey, buddy! What’s shakin? I love this player. I don’t imagine I’ll ever use Media Player again ;D

    @Diane: Indeed there are :D

    @Bobby: Hey, Bobby! Has VLC really been around for 10 years already? Sheesh, time flies…lol.
