A little link love – Week 22

Gummy LoveI don’t know if I’m early or late this week with the love. I’ve lost track lately. Too much Halo 2 online and Wordpress hacking I suppose. Fear not though my loyal readers, that doesn’t mean I haven’t found some interesting links for you to devour. I always find something and this week is no exception.

  • Different styles for different categories – Recently I’ve been working on creating a separate page and set of categories on the BlogsWeLuv site in order to host a blog carnival. One of the things I need to do is style the pages for the carnival category a bit differently. WordpressGarage’s tips are some of the most helpful I’ve found on the subject.
  • Make money with Yuwie – Aaron writes a nice review of a new site called Yuwie which apparently shares its revenue with its users. If you feel like you haven’t joined enough social networks lately and need just one more, this could be one to consider.
  • Connect with your readers – Bush has begun a new series aimed at advice on how to connect with your blog readers and figure out what they like. Obviously your blog won’t be very successful if you don’t capture the interest of your readers consistently.
  • The mother of all blog contests – Have you seen the blog contest being hosted over on David Airey’s site? There’s pretty much a plethora of prizes. Just a few of the things you could win include a custom logo from David, your very own Wordpress theme from Nate Whitehill, a personal marketing plan from Dosh Dosh, a signed copy of Blogging Tips from Lorelle VanFossen and even a podcasting kit from Fraser’s Affiliate Marketing Blog. That’s just the tip of the iceberg though. You’ll have to check out David’s site to see the complete list of prizes.

@Aaron: You’re welcome, bud! The weekend is actually off to a pretty nice start. My beloved Syracuse Orange just actually won a football game. I’m still in shock :P

@Christy: Haha…really? I forgot that I added this blog to their system :P I was going to put it in the sidebar here but the widget it just too darn wide and would mess up everything :|

I’ve actually entered that contest (I think…I’ll have to go back and look). But I never win anything. But who knows maybe this time I’ll get lucky!
