A little link love – Week 27

Gummy LoveIt’s that time again! I’ve been busy with a few different projects over the last several days and on top of that have been sick AGAIN, so I have a feeling I’m terribly late with the love this week. At least I didn’t forget!

  • Money Listers – Garry Conn and David Cooley want to help you find the “how to make money” articles you crave without having to wade through all the irrelevant fluff you’ll find on some of the most popular and successful makey money online websites. With their system they pull feeds from hundreds of websites and filter all the content not related to making money. Sounds like a heck of a great idea to me!
  • The Secret to Building a Popular Blog – Feeling like your blog could use a boost of popularity? If anyone has the experience and authority to teach how to make a blog more popular and successful, it’s Maki over at Dosh Dosh.
  • Make money with Google adsense – Soon I’ll be launching a new niche website and one of my hopes is to generate some revenue with the site via Adsense. I stumbled upon this article which contains some super advice which I plan to take to heart.
  • A review of Brown Thoughts – It took me a while but I finally got around to writing a review for Baron’s website! I’ve meaning to do this for a while. Better late than never I suppose ;)

Well you’ll have to get some really good traffic to that new site mike to earn any significant numbers.

I mean even with special channels set up with high paying clicks you CPM will still be around $15-$25 which isn’t enough, and remember that those numbers is what you earn by 1000 clicks. So let say you get those 1000 clicks per day with the CPM $15 you’ll earn around $400-$500 per month.

But to get those high paying links, it takes time google must first recognise you as a good source, the site good content and info etc, in the beginning you’ll find CPM on $2 etc just paying you 2 cents which kind of sucks.

LOL, yes I realize all of that.

This isn’t the first time I’ve put together a niche site before. I successfully operated a niche site in the past that had well over 150,000 visitors per month after just its first three months of existence. Unfortunately at the time (about five years ago) I didn’t really know diddly about monetizing sites.

I’m not looking to be a millionaire here. I simply want to see if I can generate that kind of traffic again and see what I can do with it.

well I’m not saying that adsense is pure crap, it’s a nice little extra $ in the pocket, but what I somehow cleverly masked in my last comment was. That you should introduce a wider income source, let say 3-4 advertising networks or whatever.

I can’t complain about adsense though, I mena $100 a month from the blog which I do for fun, is always welcomed :D

Well I never intended to use just adsense ;) I’ll probably dabble with some other ad sources as well and see what works and what doesn’t.
