A little link love – Week Eleven
I think I’m a day or two late this week but you’ll have to excuse me as I’ve been not only battling the allergies again, but helping lend a hand to two very cool projects, the iReply Movement and the Power of Schmooze Awards. That doesn’t mean however that I haven’t had time to find some link love worthy posts. Let’s see what I have this week :)
- Bes of Reader Appreciation Project talks about why replying to readers late is better than never replying. This is another very important concept of blogging. While the iReply movement focuses on interaction with blog commenting, it’s important to also not forget those readers who take the time to send you e-mail.
- Deb of Bloggers R Us wrote a pretty darn good article about PayPerPost and what it is, its requirements and how it works. A very informative post for those considering joining. Of course good luck getting anything to write about on there anymore. The well seems to have gone dry…at least for lower PR bloggers anyway.
- Rob thinks the new MyBlogLog messaging system sucks. I tend to agree. I love MBL, don’t get me wrong but they opened up all their members to a potential flood of spam with this latest feature. I’ve turned off my e-mail notifications for the time being. Reports from the MBL team are that they’re listening and working on ways to improve the system. Good, good.
- My Buddy Baron has a new site called Gadget Champ. Who else would you expect to bring you things like the Top 5 Useless 007 Gadgets? ;)

I love MBL too and also turned off my email notifications.
Why you can only add 15 contacts a day, yet SPAM a truckload I will never understand.
Hopefully with the change Google made to Feedburner by making the PRO version free, MBL may decide to switch to an all free model too?
Lets hope.

Hey Mike thanks for the shout out – I agree with you too, I think they’ll change it for the better, just a shame that it takes a little blogospherotiousness to wake them up to it. :D
Hey Rob! You’re welcome :) I agree that they’ll get it right as well. It just takes a little nudging :)
LOL…blogospherotiousness. You should add that one to the Urban Dictionary :P
BeachBum, that is pretty strange logic, isn’t it?
You know I didn’t even notice that the pro version of Feedburner is now free…lol. Thanks for the heads up on that one! I’m so observant it hurts :P
Thanks for the shout out about Bloggers-R-Us. I hope you come back often and check out the post :)
Thanks for mentioning my article on Bloggers-R-Us, a group blog! I appreciate the shout out, and look forward to watching our new blog grow.
@Jules and Deb: You’re welcome, ladies! It looks like the beginnings of a great blog. I added it to my feed so I can check it out daily :)
Uh oh we’re being watched! Great links.
Thank you :) I’m looking forward to the progress ya’ll make with Bloggers R Us. Especially since everyone is fellow posties :)
Geez I spent 10 minutes looking for the paper where I wrote the answer to your 10 minus 2 question.
Thanks for the mention! You mean you’ve been busy with those two projects? I have to check those out lol.
Hahaha…just be happy I didn’t make it a calculus equation of some sort. Not that I actually know any calculus, but still :P
You’re welcome, bud :) I’m sure the new site will just as popular as Brown Thoughts :D
