It’s a new week and I return once again with links to posts and articles from around the web which I found interesting. I think I’m even one day early this week. Go me!
- Did Bloggerwave make payments using a fraudulent PayPal account? If you’re a blogger and have joined Bloggerwave in the hopes of making a little extra cash blogging about various products and services, you really need to check out this article. I never got paid for the one and only opportunity I wrote about (and which I’ve now deleted) for Bloggerwave and now I guess I know why. Bye bye Bloggerwave.
- My friend Christy wrote an excellent article on Christy’s Coffee Break about the pressures of having more when you don’t have the means, which is most likely something a lot of us can relate to.
- If you’re like me and use the Firefox live bookmarks to manage your RSS subscriptions but have been considering switching to a feed reader, this article by JimiMorrisonsHead.com on Mass RSS Feed Subscribing via OPML may interest you.
- A site I stumbled onto a couple weeks ago called Giveway A Day is rather cool. Each day they give away one licensed software title that you’d normally have to pay for. For example today they are giving away a utility called FastPaste, which allows you to paste frequently used text and formatted images using hot keys. If you do a lot of copying and pasting it just might be worth checking out. Hurry while it’s still free!

Looks like you've never been here before! Today is your lucky day. For just the price of a simple mouse click, you can subscribe to this blog's RSS feed!

Thanks for the link love Mike, and thanks for giving me the heads up on the Bloggerwave scandal. I don’t care that I might never get my $46 but I do care about them stealing my freakin’ personal information. In the hopes it’s not too late I went in and messed up my profile. Yikes!!!!
I thought they looked trustworthy, I didn’t mind their system, I can’t believe they are turning out to be frauds!!
You’re welcome Christy
I only did just one opp with them to see if they’d actually pay. I was pretty skeptical from the start. I also went in and changed all my info.
Which other services beyond PayPerPost do you use that you’ve found to be trustworthy? So far I’ve just been paid through PPP and Smorty.

Furthermore everybody where paypal have reverted the payment have received their payment by now. And that is FROM THE SAME PAYPAL ACCOUNT: payment@bloggerwave.com - this should prove me point.
All this is due to a mistake from paypal. I we at bloggerwave hope that you will all continue working with us.
I hope you will respond to this message…..
That’s insane. BW didn’t look like it could be trusted to begin with. I’m glad I never did anything with them.
@Jenny: You can check out the lengthy reply they’ve left here and decide whether it’s something you want to trust or not
@lauritsen: I appreciate your reply and I think you can understand that when something like what happened occurs people are going to take it very seriously. The best information anyone had at the time was from Paypal (a company most have grown to trust). That information was the account being used to pay bloggers was fraudulent, so bloggers did what they should do, they alerted their peers. I hope things now truly are cleared up with your company and Paypal, but I won’t be continuing with your service at this time. I’d rather use a wait and see approach for now. I’m sure you can understand that.
I’ll just stick with PPP for now. HEHE
