Man, I hate computers.
Sooo, the last couple days my hard drive had started acting up. It would click once, start going nuts like it’s loading something and then everything would freeze. That certainly is never a good sign, so I went and bought a new 320 gig drive at Staples to replace it. I spent all night reinstalling everything and then finally decided I need to see if I can get the old 120 gig drive to work long enough in order to salvage some files. I hooked it up as a slave drive and managed to move files around, burn dvds, etc with no problem whatsoever. It hasn’t made a peep since I reinstalled it as a slave. Maybe the trouble with it has gone dormant, I don’t know, but it’s kind’ve annoying that I just spent $150 on a new drive and now the old one has decided to play nice. Ahhh well I guess I’ve got 440 gig of hard drive space until the old one decides to start acting up again.
Now I’m wide awake after sleeping most of the night before going on the reinstall-fest. Iris needs to come back online and play with me :|
