And you're welcome ;) @Bobby: Hey buddy! I love Fates Warning as well. I've listened to them since I was like a freshman in high school...lol. Their Perfect Symmetry album was fantastic and will probably always be my favorite of theirs. I tend to agree with you about James Labrie (DT's singer). Although when I saw them live in Houston he really did a nice job. Often times though it sounds like he's just missing the mark. I'm a metalhead from way back. You are so right about the musical mastery of many of the bands you mentioned. I am a fan of the band Fates Warning who is a big influence on Dream Theater. I saw them play a doubleheader in New Orleans several years ago. Out of all the progressive bands, Dream Theater is the most technically proficient (in my opinion). I'm not so much a fan of their singer though - I like the long instrumental sections on many of their songs.
