My Web Two Point Ohh

The lovely Tish of Chattiekat.com tagged me on the topic of Web 2.0 and more specifically which sites and resources I depend on that fall under the flag of Web 2.0. I’m not going to list everything I’m a member of because I don’t actively use a lot of sites I signed up with for one reason or another.

MyBlogLog - If you’re a blogger and you don’t yet know what MyBlogLog is I’m shocked. MBL is simply one of the coolest ways to network with others in the blogosphere as well as visually connect with and identify your site visitors.

BlogCatalog - Much the same as MyBlogLog right down to the copycat widget. I find the widget tends to hang often when loading my site which is a little irritating.

Technorati - This is where you keep tabs on who’s linking to you, who’s favoriting your site and what others in the blogosphere are yapping about. Technorati keeps tabs on more than 70 million blogs. If the site seems rather slow on occasion, that’s why.

SpicyPage - I don’t visit this site every day like the others but it’s voting system is unique. They also have a cool feature that lets you submit articles from your site and have your headline show up on the front page of SpicyPage along with a link back to your site. Unfortunately half the time when I attempt to submit articles I’m rudely presented with an error claiming that the article I’m trying to post doesn’t exist on my blog. Allllrighty then.

That’s about it. At least that’s the main ones. I’m supposed to tag someone else now, so I’ll choose Marzie. She’s nice :)

Great post, Mike! It sure is nice to see you blogging and commenting again. I hope you’re all better now! :)

I haven’t heard of SpicyPage, but it sounds kinda like Digg. Digg is cool. :)

It’s a bit different from Digg. It’s sort of closer to MBL and BlogCatalog. They have a widget as well. It’s butt ugly though so I don’t use it :P

I’m feeling a little better. No one’s mowing their lawns today so that makes me happy :)
