Nightscape - Really incredible time lapse footage

I’ve become quite addicted to Vimeo, a site where users can upload and share high definition video. I’ve discovered so much inspiring footage over the last several days, some of it done with the Canon HV20, the camera my cousin and I ordered and some like this following video, done with an SLR digital camera. This person set up their camera in several different locations, activated a timer, taking 3 shots per second. After capturing hundreds if not thousands of high definition photographs, they compiled them all into this amazing time lapse footage called Nightscape.

If you thought that looked great, you should really consider clicking the link below the video to the original high def version. It’s breathtaking. Every time I watch this video, I spot something different that I didn’t see before. I love the planes zipping about in the night sky. It looks like UFOs!

I think I may share a new favorite video from Vimeo each week. There are some extremely talented folks uploading their work there.

Indeedy it is. I wonder if someone guarded the camera for those shots? I mean… Did they sleep? lol!

Haha…from what I read about it the guy did have some friends helping him with it. Maybe they did it in shifts ;P
