Wooo, I won a dollar!

title.jpg

That’s right. A shiny dollar thanks to One Dollar Jackpot, where every day you have a chance to win a buck. Yesterday’s contest was simple – make up a myth in 25 words or less. My winning entry was “Chewing the toenails of baby iguanas will extend your life ten years.” I imagine that would probably taste awful, so I don’t actually recommend doing it.

I know what you’re thinking, “what in the world are you going to do with all that loot??” I don’t know! I was thinking I’d wait until Google’s stock crumbles another few hundred dollars and then purchase me a share. Or perhaps I could buy a pack of gum, or a lottery ticket, or offer it up as a prize in a contest here. Hmmm, so many possibilites.

    Holy cow, Mike! Now, we’re talking AMERICAN dollars, right? Suh-weet!

    I’m no financial analyst, but I’ve heard from sources in the know that you should not spend it all in one place. I know — it’s tempting, but stretching that baby out will give you a handsome return on investment. ;)

    They’re still baby iguanas, so their feet don’t stink yet.

    Hey, I love your blog and have now joined the iReply movement (nice idea).

    Can I ask how your “Related Posts” list works? Is it automated by tags or do you have to pick them yourself each time you post?

    @Mark: LOL, yes an American dollar. Can you believe it?!? That’s worth what now? 50 cents? :P

    @Byron: Haha, but it’s still toenails ;P

    The related posts thing is actually a plugin for Wordpress. I think it’s just called Darren’s Related posts or something similar. I give all of my posts keywords and the plugin generates related posts based on those keywords.

    Hey Mike – thanks for the post! That dollar is so worth nothing now that even the Aussie dollar is catching up. Time to get into Euros or Pounds.

    LOL, hey Andrew! I’ll have to check out some conversion rates and find out where I can get the best bang for my buck :P

    Hey where are you guys from? Maybe I should offer 1 CEDIS (Ghana)! You would only need 9305 more of them to get one US dollar!

    Haha, I’m in the US. It’s comforting to know someone else’s money is still worth far less than ours ;P
