Google keyphrase humor

As I do quite often I was just sifting through my stats a few minutes ago to find out just how visitors are reaching this site. Lately I’ve been seeing a LOT more traffic via Google. In fact I’d say possibly over 50% of the traffic lately is coming through Google. With all that Google traffic there’s always the potential to find some really silly search terms used by people when they happen upon your site. I think I’ve found the best one to date. One lucky visitor found my blog using the phrase “what to do if can’t breathe from one nostril”. Is that not awesome? :D I hope their nostril condition isn’t serious. I truly do, but I couldn’t help but laugh quite loudly when I saw that. Hmm…I wonder why I rank so highly for that keyphrase?

ROFL, Ha Ha, OMG that’s hilarious. I love looking through the google search terms list too. I see mostly a very, very long Criss Angel list, and celebrity searches. One person found me by typing in Coffee with Christy, lol. I haven’t got any really weird ones yet, lol, I’m still waiting. You are giving allergy sufferers hope Mike, lol. Isn’t blogging fun? :)

Perhaps I should write up a tutorial on just what you *should* do if you can’t breathe from one nostril :P

That’s pretty cool that someone found your site searching for “Coffee with Christy” . Wouldn’t it be amazing if they weren’t actually looking for your site? What would be the odds of someone just happening to search for that phrase? :P

Maybe you could write a post about ‘How To Rank For Strange Key Phrases’.
You should solidify your position for that keyword though haha.

Google loves blogs – it’s a fact. And blog post with the keywords in the URL will likely get your site ranked well. I would not even feel comfortable saying some of the search strings that my site has appeared for. SEO is good for jokes as well as business.

I usually do try to put keywords in the URL. That’s where the post slug feature comes in handy with wordpress :)
