I love indie films, which is why I was really hoping Juno would win more. It was a longshot though. It at least won for best screenplay though. It did even better at the Indie Spirit Awards, winning for best picture, best female lead and best first screenplay :D

It's the first year in a long row that i actually haven't watched the Oscars. I don't know why, probably i've distanced myself from the whole picture perfect Hollywood productions but i simply didn't feel the urge to watch the awards like i did the previous years. Somehow i'm leaning towards independent work or reality productions.

3:10 to Yuma was definitely my favorite... i also realllly loved eastern promises and thought viggo mortenson should win for best actor. rush hour 3 was a good comedy :D
we own the night was a pretty good one too, and even american ganster. dang there were a lot more good movies than i thought.

I agree that Alison Janney should have really got a nomination.

Interesting pick that, Juno. You can always put your entrecredits where your mouth is. :)

I've just opened the Entrecard bookie service where you can bet with your credits on who is going to win those Oscars.
If Juno comes in, you would stand to win 15 times your stake!

First year in I can't tell you how long that I haven't seen any of the nominated films/performances... I'm still glad the Oscars are going to go on, because it's good for the industry, but I probably won't watch.

Here via Entrecard.
