I finished in 9th place in another tournament last night. It was a field of 1242 players this time. It’s so deflating to get that far and then get knocked out shy of the real money. Again I had the better hand until the freakin’ flop. My pocket eights got beat by pocket sevens.
I’m getting there though. Two final tables in consecutive nights is nice progress.
I just played for 4 hours in a poker tournament on PokerStars. It was a field of 779 players. I made the final table and finished in a measily 7th place. My pocket jacks got beat by pocket fives. Just my luck =/
At least I continue to prove to myself that I really can play this game well. If only I had better luck.
I decided to check out something a little different today. Even though I’m a big fan of progressive rock music, I’d never really ventured into another sub genre of prog called space rock. Ozric Tentacles apparently fall under this label. Their latest release “The Floor’s Too Far Away” is brilliant. I’ll be listening to this all day.
The best way to describe Ozric would be a cross between Psytrance and Progrock. I was totally hooked after listening to a track called “Jelly Lips” which is so freakin’ trippy and mesmorizing. It has all the ingredients of hard psytrance with all the complexities of prog rock rolled into one. This music is just perfect to relax and chill out to. I love it.
