It claims to be a social site, but they ban you if you submit your own articles. That was pretty much the Genesis of the Recommend Us site. I got tired of Digg always pumping Fox or MSNBC sites or some totally stupid stuff because it's part of that "convention" culture. Some of us "average" people and bloggers need an outlet to at least post our articles and see if they get response. They way I figure, if something isn't worthy, it will fade into the archives but once in a while it's really nice to see genuine bloggers who aren't following the mainstream and regurgitating it get some credit here credit's due.
