Remixing Trent Reznor

Quite a while ago Trent Reznor provided fans with files from Nine Inch Nails recordings to use in order to make their own remixes of NIN songs. I’ve been wanting to do something with them but with so much lack of inspiration, I just kept putting it off. Finally a couple weeks ago I began messing around with some melody and beat ideas. I plugged in a couple of the vocal tracks from the NIN stuff and thought to myself, “hey, that just might work.” Unfortunately the inspiration to create something didn’t last long, but this is the result of my little remixing session. It’s not very long, but this is my first remix of the Nine Inch Nails track “The Great Destroyer”.

I haven’t actually spent the time to mix it all properly, but I guess it doesn’t sound too bad as is. Hopefully the inspiration will eventually return so I can either do more with this track or one of the many other NIN tracks offered up for remixing. Just click the little play button below to listen. At least I hope you see a play button.
