Take the rookie challenge
If you’ve ever had any interest in investing and trading stocks but perhaps are a bit new to the whole thing, wouldn’t it be cool to give it a try without any kind of risk? With the rookie challenge on MyWallSt.net you can create a free account and begin trading the stocks of real companies with virtual money. This is a great way to get your feet wet and learn the ins and out of stock trading without the worries of losing any money. Veteran traders could also use this service to simply try out new ideas before actually implementing them with real money.
How does it work?
After creating their free account, rookie investors start off with $100,000 to invest in any way they see fit and are allowed up to 20 holdings at any time. The system is simple, only having the options to buy or sell, so you won’t have to worry about getting too confused. At the end of each week the rookie with the highest number of gains is declared the winner. As an incentive for rookie players to build a strong portfolio, each week there is a $1,000 cash prize to the winner.
The site also acts as a social network allowing you to create a profile with photos and a little info about yourself. You can even create a friends list and check out what stocks your friends are adding to their portfolio. Perhaps you’ll snag a few investment ideas by peeking in on what they’re doing ;)

This sounds interesting. Perhaps I’ll give it a try. The $1,000 prize sounds awesome. Is that virtual money too?
Hehe, nope. That’s real money :)
Mike, have you ever seen this site? Saw it on G4 and of course you’re the first I thought of. http://www.garfieldvariations.com/
No matter how many times I look at the logo, I still read “My Waist”. But hey, maybe that’s just me.
ROFL Mike! I can see why you’d say that:)
what the hell, rookie challange closed everytime I check in.
Damnit in what strange hours do they have the stock exchange open?
