Schmooze - The gift that keeps on giving

The blogging sensation known as the Power of Schmooze still seems to be full steam ahead and I’m still inadvertently receiving back links by the bucket loads from it. I logged in to Technorati today to see that my Authority Ranking is now up to a whopping 510! I had this silly and rather crazy thought. At it’s current rate it almost seems as though the schmooze is going to land into the hands of nearly every blogger on the planet. What if it were to reach just half of them? I remember reading on Technorati months ago that there were over 70 million blogs on the internet. I’m thinking 35 million back links would be some sort of internet record, no? Maybe I could get myself into Guinness with a number like that ;)
So how often do you see the schmooze now in your travels around the blogoshphere? It seems like wherever I go I see it residing in someone’s sidebar. I wonder at one point an award (or meme for that matter) finally fizzles and fades away?

I don’t know about anyone else but when I got my Schmooze award I was totally Wowed! I just never thought I’d get one and when I did I was and am proud. Its funny I’m sitting here admiring my tech. authority of 42 and you are half way to 1000 LOL… I am such a simpleton!
How are ya feeling today? I hope your back and hands are feeling OK. that was grueling on the both of you….
PS I wanted to tell you my little Grand Daughters name is Bella, When I saw that Bella was also on Gummy’s I fell in love. I would like to know if you would even think of making a baby Bella gummy that I could make a pattern of and paint for my Grand Daughter Bella’s room sign. She is 6 months old. so shes still a baby. I am planning on teaching her everything I know about drawing and painting and art in general! I would not sell it or claim it as my own I just fell in love with the Gummy’s and Bella is just perfect! Thanks Mike even if the answer is no I will understand!

@Judy: The fingers are still quite sore…lol. I had intentions of doing a new comic today, but I think I’m going to have to wait til tomorrow..hehe.
I’m going to sound like an idiot here, but I don’t have any kids of my own. What exactly are room signs? Do you have example of what they are? Also how do the patterns work?

It was really difficult when I finally received it and had to pass it on to others. I knew who I wanted to pass it along to, but I had to go from blog to blog to make sure they hadn’t already received it. And guess what? Several of them had! *LOL*

That’s totally awesome Mike. Happy A - Listing! Now remember to tell the other bloggers to step away from the keyboard because you don’t need them! All you need is yourself and your schmooze award, even better make a You Tube Video telling everyone how superior you are to them, ROFL!
I am seeing the same effect with my Writer’s Reviews Awards. It’s tripled it’s technorati in three weeks. It’s exciting that people have something you’ve created on their sites, it’s really amazing! Who knew blogging could ever be this cool, if someone told me this the day I opened up my blog, I would never have believed them!!!

It’s just a wooden sign that I want to make her that will say Bella’s Room. I want to paint on it so I thought it would be fun to do a little pink Bella on it and maybe even gummy on there too. It is a thought but don’t worry I shouldn’t have asked. it was kind of rude of me. Oops LOL …

Hehe…it wasn’t rude at all, Judy :) I just wasn’t quite sure what ya meant by a sign…lol. I’ve never created anything for something like that, but if you could point me in the right direction of where to see how patterns work for the signs and how they’re made I can see what I can do :)

@Mike and Tish - I still have to do my Schmooze Post - Just waiting for the right time (Geez - I am going to have to link to Mike). I was so excited when I got it - to be honest I was sad I had to wait so long. I did not think it would take that long for it to come back! But then me and my schmooze were reunited and it’s been schmooze sailing ever since. :D

OK,I thought how am I gonna show Mike what I am talking about. here are some links.keep in mind that I can build off the size of the Gummy & Bella. So what ever size you make it I can make it either bigger or smaller and also the sign can be built any size because My hubby and I will make it in our wood shop.

Hey, Technorati boy. What kind of freakin’ ranking is that? 522!!!! You are almost in the top five thousand!!!!!!!! That is absolutely huge!! Soon you’ll be dining with Problogger!! I just checked mine and I’m up to 9,000, and I haven’t even made my ten k post yet. What the heck is going on? It’s like the blogs are taking on a life of their own…(twilight zone theme) I am truly freaked out right now!!!

Hi! In the euphoria of receiving a Schmooze Award I did a “six degrees of separation” thing, tracing back links, and ended up here. 6 clicks and I’m at the source!
On my brief journey I visited some interesting places, two of which I know well in the real world (including the town where my sister lives!!!). It was an enjoyable and alarming trip!
I also discovered that I am possibly the least deserving of all Schmooze Award recipients but I will endeavour to do better in future.
