I have to admit I’ve never heard of JustSayHi.com until today when I received The Sexy Blogger Award from them in an e-mail. I’m not quite sure how they know about me or my blog, but hey it was worth a good laugh, so thanks JustSayHi

Apparently you can also visit their site and send your own awards to your favorite bloggers. Besides the Sexy Blogger Award, there’s oodles of others. My favorite would have to be the Fleas of 1,000 Camels Award. Nice. Perhaps I’ll send one to all the morons who thought iReply was just a link-baiting scheme.

Looks like you've never been here before! Today is your lucky day. For just the price of a simple mouse click, you can subscribe to this blog's RSS feed!

OMG! Congrats Mike on be super sexy, that’s one of those things you have to print out so you can one day prove it really happened to your grand children. You rock!
Oh no, ROFL, I left your blog, opened my email and found out that I’ve received the Martini award from JustSayHi.com…which is cool yes…but how come I don’t get to be sexy?..damn Mike…your always one step ahead of me…LOL!!
Me thinks someone is out there awarding them anonymously, which you can do if you check out that second link ;P
I got the Sexy Blogger award in my email too!
“Perhaps I’ll send one to all the morons who thought iReply was just a link-baiting scheme.”
Bwaaaaahahhahaha!
@Tish: I wonder who the anonymous sender is? ;P
@Mark: I thought you might like that
Oh, I didn’t see the other link, rofl…this is all starting to make sense now, lol.
It must be your sexy header that got you the award? Sexy for aliens that is!!
They are kinda sexy, aren’t they?
It’s a new method of spam, unfortunately. Simple matter of harvesting email addresses from blogs, MyBlogLog, etc., and sending out these so-called “awards” to get traffic to the dating site.
These sites now know that bloggers post these awards on their blogs and pass them around, so they’re taking advantage of it by SPAMMING. Two birds with one stone…traffic and linkbait. And they can avoid being blamed for spam since there’s legitimate award form there to use. It’s brilliant actually, but still SPAM! Unless, of course, you get one from a friend. But the “anonymous” ones…s-p-a-m-e-r-o-n-i.
My advice is to just post the award and not link to them OR mention their name. No spammer deserves publicity!
Shine on,
Aaron
They are snazzy rewards, though. And if people who a”lready know you” send them then it wouldn’t be spam. Just thought I should point that out since I read my comment over and it did sound a bit cranky.
But if people who don’t know you are sending them then is IS spam. I sent one to myself just to test it…curious to see whether or not my email address will end up on a list. I certainly hope not! Nonetheless, it was a smart idea on their part…as long as the Can-Spam Act rulea are being followed.
Shine on,
Aaron
LOL, you did sound a little cranky
You did the same thing I did. I tested sending one to myself as well. I sent myself the fleas…haha.
That Fleas of 1000 Camels Award sounds like a great reward for um nevermind hehehe
