I survived Blogathon 2007!

As most people that read this blog regularly know, I participated yesterday in the Blogathon with Tish of The Kat House. The event lasted 24 hours, from 9am yesterday until 9am this morning. I’m happy to say that after 24 hours, three cans of Red Bull and a whole lot of silliness, Tish and I survived! There were a few times along the way where we didn’t feel like we were going to make it, but thanks to the most overwhelming support you can possibly imagine from the greatest group of blogging friends you could ever wish for, we pushed forward and succeeded. Each and every one of you that either donated to our charity or hung out all night with us should be patting yourselves on the back today for a job well done. Thank you all so much :)

If you weren’t able to make it last night and hang with us all. you can still thumb through the BlogsWeLuv archives and have a little fun reading through the oodles of posts Tish and I made, starting yesterday morning (the 28th). Those archives are now there as a little reminder that Tish, myself and everyone that showed their amazing support were part of something special. We already discussed doing it again!

So who’s in with us for next year? :D

    Phew! I was getting worried! :D You both did a wonderful job. I really have to hand it to you – it was some really organized blogging. It was like synchronized swimming – but without the pool and the swimmers and with blog posts instead.

    I am really happy that you and Tish both answered the questions too! And I know what my favourite part was! ;)

    Way to go! Woot! Woot! You both rock!

    I think next year I will participate for sure! :D

    I said to Tish at one point last night “Danielle is such a trooper” because you hung out and survived along with us for so long…lol.

    Thanks Danielle :) It made the experience so much more fun having all of our buddies show up and provide words of encouragement and keep us going :D

    No scootering for you until you’ve had some proper rest today! :P

    Well I did disappear for the last few hours but I stayed up really late though… I would have liked to make it all the way, but I had stuff I had to do today so I could not spend all day in bed.

    Yeah, I figured it would have sucked if you were just blogging 48 posts and no one cared enough to read and comment. Luckily there was a bunch of us all rooting you two on! :)

    Next year: You and Tish should do a He Said She Said kind of thing. That would be cool… actually that would make a cool blog in any case. :D

    @Christy: Hehe…we were pretty darn prepared for it :D Tish and I had been making notes and putting together outlines so we’d know exactly what we wanted to discuss…especially in our reviews :)

    @Danielle: I think we actually went well over 48 posts…lol. It may have been closer to 60 or so :D

    I think next year we should get a group of us together and do it. Find a charity we can all agree on and have a blast :mrgreen:

    I’m so excited! What’ll be my job? Well, I guess there is a long time to figure that out. :D

    Are you sick of blogging? Or has this experience just solidified your love for blogging? I notice myself that the more I blog, the more I love it.

    @Danielle: Hehe, nope not sick of it all. It was awesome! Of course my fingers are really worn out, so I’m going to take a break here soon and go hang out with my cousin for the night. I need to get away from the computer for a little while. I think I earned that..hehe :D

    I had a great time blogging with you, Mike! Thanks to everyone for the support!

    And I think it would be great to get a big group of bloggers together for next year! We could select a charity to blog for and then have lots of people collecting pledges for the cause! It would be fun!! Let’s do it!

    I had a great time as well, Tish :) We definitely did the right thing by outlining everything we wanted to write about ahead of time. That really helped a LOT.

    Maybe we could set up another new blog next year for a group of us to write on :)

    I’m glad you 2 made it and you did such a wonderful job. You really made it look easy. I was impressed at the posts coming pretty much one right after the other, all night long. It didn’t seem like you 2 got any breaks what so ever…. Thank God for Red Bull!

    Hi Judy! Thank so much =) We really didn’t get much of a break at any point…lol. It was a heck of a lot of fun though and it was amazing how many people showed up all night long to support and rally us on :)

    mike and tish u both did an amazing job!! its was soo much fun following ur posts all day… read almost every single one of ur 48 blogathon!! ok ill def be here next year but im not making any promises on doing it myself… i dont think i can do it but i sure can show some commenting support again!! cant wait for next year :P:P
