Getting trash talked by ten year olds

Halo 2My cousin John stopped by today. Our intent was to work on Gummy stuff but that idea quickly eroded into an all day session of Halo 2 online on the xbox360. I’ve never really played the game before so there was nothing like trying to learn it while getting trash talked by ten year old brats. They’re brutal. “Dude you f#@kin’ suck!” Thanks, junior. “You’re mother’s a whore!” Thanks, again. I appreciate your honesty. Fortunately my cousin is a cold-blooded killer in Halo and made quick work of the mouthy ten year olds.

Today was actually also my first experience playing any kind of game online with the xbox. I figured I would make my decision whether or not I really wanted to get a Gold Live account after the month trial is over. I’m not so sure I want to. I couldn’t help but wonder though, do these kids parents know what kind of language they’re using while playing these games online? Wow.

It’s not just online, it’s everywhere that they are like that… I walked past a bunch of 13-14 year olds a few months ago and one of them said: “I’d hurt that” (some variation of I’d tap that?)… But how does a child intend on “hurting that”? I was old enough to be his much older sister. Kids have such potty mouths these days and parents don’t seem to care.

Heh they’re everywhere these days. On the condition zero server that I run, we get kids coming in and acting like they were internet gangsters. Of course, we keep the server really clean so foul language gets taken care of rather quickly. Even the adults are polite on the server haha.

Hahahha.. that’s hilarious!! I play a bit of Halo from time to time, and yeah, those kids can be brutal!! They have all the time in the world to hone in on their cursing skills, y’know? ;P

@Danielle: That’s just wrong. I think the parents are the biggest problem. Many are just too lazy to take any sort of active role in parenting their children.

@Baron: That should be the way it’s done on the xbox network but I don’t imagine that will happen since it’s so huge.

@Helen: They certainly do. Bunch of little brats. What was silly is they were talking trash with their dirty little mouths but then running off and hiding.

When I read this post, all I could think of were those horrible kids from Talladega Nights.
