The countdown to After Forever.
If you check out After Forever’s website you’ll find a nice big counter ticking away the days until the release of their new self titled CD. I’m looking forward to this one as I’ve been a big fan for several years now. When it comes to the many different female fronted bands (Within Temptation, Nightwish, Nemesea, Epica, etc) I’ve always enjoyed After Forever the most. I like the others as well but as far as I’m concerned Floor Jansen has the best voice of them all.
Speaking of Nightwish though it appears their search for a new vocalist is over according to their website. Apparently they’ll be making an official announcement in May. Personally I kinda hope they decide to go in a bit of a different direction from Tarja. She had a great voice for sure, but I could only take so much of her operatic style before I had to turn it off. That’s why I enjoy Floor from After Forever much more. She can do the operatic thing but it’s not all she does.
