Mypictr – my new favorite Web 2.0 site!
Perhaps many of you have already discovered this site and use it often but I only just stumbled onto it recently. Mypictr is the ultimate in handy if you’re a person (like me) that finds yourself joining a lot of social networking sites that all include the ability to upload a profile picture. What you quickly find out is that you’re constantly opening Photoshop (or your favorite editor) and resizing/cropping your images to conform to each site’s needs. I don’t think I have to tell you how aggravating this can get. Why can’t they all just have a standard size?! Well since they can’t and don’t it would be nice to have a way to quickly crop and resize images for all the wonderful sites we join. Enter Mypictr, the ultimate time saver.
Mypictr allows you to upload your image, choose from an extensive drop down list of social networking sites, and easily output an image to conform to each site’s requirements. Need an 80×80 pixel image for Gravatar? No problemo!

Just load up your image, choose Gravatar from the list, drag the little rectangle over the area of your picture you want to include in your avatar and click the “pictr it” button. You’re all done! Download the image to your hard drive then upload it to Gravatar and you’re all set. Nothing more to do, unless of course you need to create more images for the umpteen other sites you’ve joined. Now you know how easy and painless it is to do the rest though :)

I haven’t heard about that site , so I’m glad you posted about it :) Friggin’ genius! lol
Hehe…it’s such a simple concept but with so many sites requiring different dimensions for user pictures, Mypictr is the perfect solution :)
