Could use a little help folks!

I can’t say exactly say what I need the help for yet (give me a day or so), but I can say that this will be for a good and charitable cause :) Here’s what I need though. Tell me about your favorite blogs. I don’t mean your favorite blogs about making money either. I mean blogs that are doing something truly unique and creative, or perhaps blogs that are simply written by someone really extraordinary who you think deserves a little attention. Some examples of blogs that I find to be really unique would be sites like In Cinq, 1 Million Love Messages and Happy Slip. Everyone and their grandmother is writing about tips for making money online, alexa rankings, Google page rank, SEO tips and so on. I want to know about the blogs where people are daring to be different :)

You have such great taste in blogs. ;)

Ok, to answer your question, there’s a new community art project called Earth Friendly Photoblog…

    Haha, why thank you ;)

I LOVE that site! Thanks Adria :D

I forgot to say before… I must love your blog. Why else would I be doing voluntary math?

    10 minus 2. ;)

Just promise me you won’t make me do calculus.

  4. Mike 14 June 2007 at 11:55 pm Permalink

Haha…no worries there. Someone would have to teach me calculus first and frankly I’m not sure I have the brain capacity to soak it in. Sooo, 10 minus 2 it is :D

I could just set up Akismet and do away with the dorky math question…hmmmm.

no, no, no… I love the “dorky math question”! It always makes me smile. :)

Haha, okay I’ll leave it then ;) Have you seen the question I use on my other site? It’s not terribly difficult either..hehe.

BTW, I *think* you can completely do away with the dorky questions by registering as a user on most sites that use WordPress. I think. Don’t quote me on that :)

My favourite blogs are about SEO though? But besides that I always enjoy:

http://www.izzatz.com – because it makes me laugh
http://blog.shrub.com – because it makes me think
http://incinq.blogspot.com – because it makes me feel
http://zhu-canada.blogspot.com – because the blogger is much like me

I can contribute with one special blog that I like to read: http://www.thethinkingblog.com/

    :)

    Coincidence, that last comment.

Came by with something for you… :)

    http://incinq.livejournal.com/2007/06/15/

Because, of course, yours is “something truly unique and creative”!

Awww how nice  I didn’t even know my blog inspired much thought…hehe :D

Thank you Adria :) Now I need to come up with five more. I’m totally going to end up leaving someone out and feel bad…lol.

“I’m totally going to end up leaving someone out and feel bad”

I felt the same way, even after being able to rule out those that already got it.

  12. Mike 15 June 2007 at 8:51 pm Permalink

Lol…I guess I could cheat a little and pick more than five ;)

  13. Adria 15 June 2007 at 10:11 pm Permalink

    You rebel, you. ;)

This is a real tough call. I have tried to read 40-50 blogs that are supposed to be good and virtually all of them arent memorable enough to look at a second time. I did notice the thinking blog mentioned on this list. It is really the ONLY big blog I read. InCinq is my obvious choice. I’ve learned much watching how she works. I like http://beamansworld.blogspot.com He’s a great writer but he would be my real favourite if he added the element of explosive rage, and going on a psychotic rant here and there!!! Another writer or enigmatic personality I like is Zubli: http://www.synchronity4change.wordpress.com/
What sets him apart is his personality and somehow, personally knowing every single member, link, commenter and visitor he has ever run across. If you have met him, you cannot forget him and that counts a lot to me.

    Bobby, thank you.

Zubli unforgettable. You are right. :)

I came over here to recommend Woman: God’s Masterpiece. :)

    To make it official…

    http://womangodsmasterpiece.blogspot.com/

This is a blog that celebrates female bloggers. The interview column is fantastic (and, no… I am not biased). ;)

Also, Bubble Dumb – tales from the edge of UK culture

    http://www.loulantos.com/

Biting wit on that one. Strong, memorable voice.

Another engaging English blog… An English Mum

    Danielle… thanks! :D

Oh, and on my last comment, I meant to write, “Zubli is unforgettable.” I hate it when I forget the verb. :(

  17. Mike 18 June 2007 at 1:24 pm Permalink

You may hate it but that just made me giggle, Adria

Your suggestions have been noted! Thank you :D

  18. Adria 18 June 2007 at 1:33 pm Permalink

Well, then it was worth it, Mike! ;)

We need to go back and look at all these blog suggestions again, Mike. :)
