Why is he so quiet lately?

It’s not much of a secret that my posting frequency here is not quite what it used to be. Part of the blame can be placed on “blogger burnout” which I’m still experiencing to at least some degree, and the rest of the blame can be attributed to the game of Grifball.

I wrote on my HaloVidz site a while back that I joined a Grifball spring league. Well since then I’ve become rather consumed by the game. It’s terribly addictive and though it looks easy, requires a lot of practice to actually master it. I spend at least a couple nights each week practicing with my teammates. When not doing that, I play a lot of “pick-up” games with other Grifball league players. Just what the heck is Grifball, you ask? Here’s a little video to help demonstrate it.

The two teams you’re watching are made up of developers of the game Halo 3 and the creators of Grifball, which is played using Halo 3. For a better understanding of how to play Grifball in Halo 3, I actually wrote an article recently which should help anyone who’s interested in trying it out.

The best part about Grifball is that it’s a game which is simple enough for anyone to learn and begin playing right away. Of course as I mentioned it takes time to really master it, but regardless of your skill level, it’s always fun. If you’re thinking it’s just a silly game for kids, think again. There are players as old as 40 (or more) currently participating in the Grifball league.

Tonight my teammates and I play our final two games of the regular season. We currently have a record of 6-2 and if we win both games, which we feel confident about, we’ll be in the playoffs. Fun!

So there you have it. That’s why I’ve been a bit quiet around here lately :)

Hey buddy! I, too, needed a bit of a blogging break and am now just catching up and getting back into the swing of things…sorta.

Btw, your Amazon Wish List button seems to be pointing to your homepage, not your actual wish list. Just thought to let you know. ;)

    Shine on,
    Aaron
